North Carolina Driver Slaps Flagger in Road Rage Incident Caught on Camera

 

A North Carolina driver is catching major heat after he straight-up mushed a traffic flagger in the face during a work zone stop in Huntersville, North Carolina, Tuesday—and it all went down in broad daylight.

 

The wild incident happened while road crews were out doing maintenance and traffic flagger Caleb Johnson was just doing his job, motioning cars to slow down using the standard stop/wave protocol. But one driver wasn’t trying to hear it. After passing the stop point, dude hopped out his car and delivered a disrespectful right hook to Johnson’s face, making him drop his stop sign.

Witnesses say Johnson managed to stay on his feet, but was clearly stunned. Other crew members immediately stepped in before things got worse. The driver backed up and peeled off—but not before the squad snapped the license plate.

Speaking out after the attack, Caleb Johnson said the whole thing caught him off guard because the driver didn’t seem aggressive at first. Now, both Johnson and his company are ready to press charges, and local authorities are on the hunt for the man behind the wheel.
