Raleigh Store Clerk Admits Restroom Denial Was Racial
A disturbing video now circulating online shows a man, Malik El’Haj Shabazz confronting a store clerk at Tri-Mart, located at 1827 Garner Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, over being repeatedly denied restroom access—a privilege allegedly granted earlier to a white customer.

During the exchange, the Black man can be heard saying:
“I been coming to this store for years. Every time I come in here, the bathroom out of order… or y’all don’t got no bathroom. But as soon as the white man came in here and said do y’all got a bathroom—”
The clerk cut him off, saying plainly:
“Because you Black.”

Stunned, the man replied in disbelief:
“Because I’m Black?”
The clerk didn’t backtrack. Instead, he doubled down, saying that the man wasn’t allowed to use the restroom because of his race. The Black man, clearly frustrated, accused the clerk of calling him a drug addict—a claim the clerk denied, stating again that because he was black – was the sole reason.

The video also shows a white man walking back into frame to return the restroom keys.
Locals are now calling for the boycott of the store.
