A high school teacher in Pamlico County has been arrested and charged after investigators say he sent sexual content to a former minor student.
According to authorities, 49-year-old Keith Reese of New Bern was charged with dissemination of obscene material to a minor under 18 after an investigation uncovered sexual images and messages he allegedly sent to a former student.
Pamlico County deputies say they were called after a video linked to Reese began circulating online, showing explicit content.
The alleged victim, identified as a former student, was underage at the time of the communications.
Reese, who was employed at Pamlico County High School, was taken into custody and booked into the Pamlico County Jail.
He’s scheduled to appear in court on Friday, though officials have not released details about his bond status.
