Word On The Curb… in South Carolina<\/em>, a brother and sister found themselves in a heated brawl over a batch of chicken that didn’t have any seasoning on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

27-year-old Anthony Harper<\/strong>, now facing charges for second-degree assault and battery, along with third-degree assault and battery, and his sister, 25-year-old Hope Harper<\/strong>, who\u2019s also in hot water with a charge of third-degree assault and battery.<\/span><\/p>\n

The drama unfolded last Sunday<\/em> when deputies from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office<\/em> were called to their home on Cody Lane<\/em>. Hope<\/strong>, in a fit of rage and frustration, confronted Anthony<\/strong> about the unseasoned chicken, asking, “why he didn’t season the chicken that was cooking so it could crust up.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This innocent question ignited a heated response from Anthony<\/strong>, who claimed, “I know how to cook, and Grammy was going to season the chicken.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Things escalated quickly when Hope<\/strong> shot back at her brother, \u201cYou\u2019re not human, you\u2019re a dumb dog!\u201d<\/em> Her mouth led to Anthony<\/strong> allegedly shoving her into a kitchen table, where he then unleashed closed-fist punches, landing about five blows to her face. In retaliation, Hope<\/strong> scratched him on the arm, and the whole house went up.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another member of the family intervened, firing a 9mm handgun into the ceiling in a desperate attempt to stop the brawl. But the messy family fight didn\u2019t end there; Hope<\/strong> allegedly grabbed a steak knife and began chasing Anthony<\/strong> around the house, turning the whole scene into a bizarre family fight into something that you would see on tv.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s going to kill me,\u201d the man allegedly said according to a police report, while breaking free and fleeing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to the police report obtained by Law & Crime<\/a>, Anthony<\/strong> ran to his grandmother’s bedroom door, fearing for his life. Their grandmother emerged from her room, took a broom, and swatted at Hope until she put the knife down. Following that, Anthony<\/strong> picked up a can of Raid<\/em> insecticide and sprayed it in Hope’s<\/strong> face and neck.<\/span><\/p>\n

The report also mentioned that Hope<\/strong> then took the can and sprayed it back at him. When deputies arrived, both siblings expressed a desire to press charges against one another.<\/span><\/p>\n
