Authorities in Fayetteville have charged 19-year-old Sierra Chambers<\/strong> with first-degree murder in the tragic death of 7-year-old Zion Gibbs.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Gibbs<\/strong>, a joyful child known for his love of video games, was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting<\/a> in June<\/em> while playing on his couch at home. Initially, Chambers<\/strong> was charged with accessory after the fact in October<\/em>, but investigators have now presented sufficient evidence to hit her with first-degree murder.<\/p>\n

While police continue to investigate other possible suspects in Gibbs’<\/strong> death, Chambers<\/strong> remains the only individual publicly named in connection to the crime. Investigators traced the car used in the shooting, a black Chrysler 200, which was found on private property in Winston-Salem<\/strong>. The vehicle showed signs of damage, including a bullet hole on the passenger side and a dent in the driver’s door.<\/span><\/p>\n
