It was a wild and chaotic Saturday<\/em> night at the Jacksonville Mall <\/strong><\/a>in Jacksonville, North Carolina<\/strong>,<\/em>\u00a0when bullets rang out in the parking lot just after 8:00 p.m.\u2014leaving three people shot and a masked gunman on the run.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a press release from the Jacksonville Police Department<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, officers were dispatched around 8:14 p.m. on Saturday, August 2<\/strong>, after reports of a shooting in the area of 375 Western Blvd.<\/span><\/p>\n

When police pulled up to the scene, they found two victims with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Shortly after, they were notified a third victim had already made it to the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

All three victims are currently listed in stable condition, according to the police.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investigators say a Black man wearing a black ski mask approached the victims while they were walking through the mall parking lot\u2014and opened fire without warning before fleeing the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n
