What We Know About the Jacksonville Police Officer Killed on Campe Lejeune<\/h2>\n

According to a press release from the Jacksonville Police Department<\/strong><\/a>, the department was notified on Tuesday, January 13, around 12:40 p.m. by the Camp Lejeune Provost Marshal\u2019s Office about a serious incident involving an off-duty JPD officer on base.<\/span><\/p>\n

The officer has been identified as Philip Chiorino.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

JPD confirmed that Officer Chiorino sustained life-threatening injuries during the incident and was later pronounced deceased. No additional details surrounding the shooting have been released at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n
