GTCC Instructor Fired: “Tell me that wasn’t karma doing her finest work.”
That’s the jaw-dropping statement allegedly made by Lisa Greenlee, a former part-time instructor at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), in a leaked audio clip now making waves across social media. In the recording, Greenlee can allegedly be heard praising the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and even applauding the shooter.
“I’ll praise the shooter, he did a good job, he had good aim,” Greenlee could be heard saying in the clip.
The backlash was immediate—and now, so is the fallout.
GTCC: “WE DO NOT CONDONE HATE OR VIOLENCE”
GTCC confirmed in an official statement that Lisa Greenleeis no longer employed with the school following her inflammatory remarks about 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who has been charged in the assassination of Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University.
“Guilford Technical Community College does not condone violence or hate speech of any kind,” the college stated. “We deeply regret that students, employees, and the community were impacted by her comments.”
GTCC emphasized that Greenlee’s alleged behavior is “not consistent with the college’s values and mission to serve Guilford County.”
The school reiterated its commitment to an inclusive and respectful environment, saying Greenlee’s alleged praise of the shooter violated the safe space they strive to maintain for both learning and work.
“Her statement regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk does not support the open and respectful learning and working environment that GTCC provides every day,” officials added.
