A Memphis mother is facing first-degree murder charges after she allegedly shot and killed a 20-year-old man she caught hiding under her daughter’s bed.
Kendra Scott, 36, was arrested after the deadly confrontation in the 3000 block of Travis Road in Southwest Memphis early Thursday morning.
According to WREG, Scott came home around 1:30 a.m. and immediately started banging on the door, yelling, “Who’s at my house?” A juvenile inside the home — reportedly her daughter — was terrified because Scott was holding a gun and visibly furious, according to a Shelby County affidavit obtained by The North Carolina Beat.
The juvenile told police that Scott had previously warned her: “If I see a boy in the house, then I will put a hole in his a.”**
When the door was opened, the man — identified as Rodderius Morton — was found hiding under the bed in the juvenile’s room.

As Morton tried to leave, Scott was heard yelling, “Get out of my house, b****!”
Her daughter told investigators that once Morton and Scott reached the front porch, she heard a single gunshot.
When questioned by police, Scott allegedly told investigators: “I saw a dude under my kids’ bed, and I did what I had to do.”
Morton was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
According to the police affidavit, Scott’s daughter told investigators that she had invited Morton over and that he entered the home through the back door.
Scott was detained at the scene and later charged with first-degree murder and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

She does not have a bond set and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Any Mother that has Children probably was told about the monsters that lived under their beds as tragic as this sounds who knows what happen at that front door he could’ve possibly tried to attack her and that’s probably when that
Gun went off because she had him and with the charges that he was going to be facing he tried to over take her and she fired to protect herself
We have to protect our children.
She shot the young man in the back of the head. The daughter let him in the back door. He made it out of the front door. I get it. The daughter is underage. But why didn’t the mother call the police? You have a whole assumption of a story here to define a senseless act of violence.
She got charged correct was no need to shoot this young man in the back of the head she must have a mental problem or just straight up evil. B Blessed
She deserves everything she’s going to get!!!
