A man from Apex, North Carolina was arrested in June following a warrant for allegedly holding one of his 16-year-old employees captive at his parents‘ home in Gray’s Creek for two days, per court records.
The arrest warrants reveal that on June 6, 22-year-old Suvid James Kakkar forced the teenager into his truck when she went to collect her paycheck from him at his business in Sanford. Kakkar reportedly found out that the girl had allegedly used drugs and, instead of giving her the paycheck, he allegedly forced her into his vehicle.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was informed about the situation on June 8, regarding the teen being held at Kakkar’s parents‘ residence on Trista Lane, as reported by FayObserver.
16-year-old climbed out of bedroom window
According to court documents, deputies were doing surveillance on the home when they saw the 16-year-old escape through a bedroom window. During an interview, she told police that Kakkar would block the bedroom door whenever she attempted to leave.
When investigators questioned Kakkar, his story aligned with the teen‘s, and he allegedly told them that he brought her to his parents’ house to help her with drug withdrawal, as per court documents.
Kakkar was arrested before midnight on June 8 at a Waffle House in Wade.
