During a press conference, Sheriff Coats announced that Daquan Seandre Thomas, the boyfriend of Tyrone’s sister, had been arrested and charged with murder in connection with Tyrone’s death.

At approximately 2:35 p.m. on November 20, Harnett County 911 received a call from workers who reported discoveringa deceased individual while clearing a lot in the 1400 block of Shady Grove Road.

Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that they had discovered human skeletal remains.

However, due to the advanced state of decomposition, the initial determination of the sex and race was not possible.

A incident report was filed on September 14th. Tynesha Taylor told the court that she was bound to a chair and burned by Daquan. She said that he threatened to “blow her up.” She listed August 30 as the day the incident happened, just seven days before Tyrone Taylor went missing.

Daquan was arrested on October 10 in connection with the incident. He was charged with second-degree kidnapping, as well as misdemeanor counts of assault on a female and communicating threats.

26-year-old Daquan is also charged with felony concealment/failure to report Taylor’s death.
