Authorities have arrested three men in connection with the tragic October shooting of 29-year-old Davicia Jean Ann Lee at a Cook Out restaurant in South Durham

According to a press release from the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, felony warrants were served on Thursday for two suspects:

Alexander Kenyon Carlton Jr., 23, and Calvin Jerade Spence Jr., 18, both of Durham. They are facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, felony conspiracy, and go armed to the terror of the people.

Court documents reveal that Carlton Jr. and Spence Jr. allegedly drew their firearms and shot Lee as she walked away from an heated argument they were having.

A third suspect, Jamari Treyvon McKnight, 18, of Wake Forest, was arrested in collaboration with Morrisville police. McKnight faces charges including carrying a concealed weapon, resisting a public officer, and go armed to the terror of the people—all classified as misdemeanors.

According to warrants, McKnight was seen with a firearm “tucked underneath his arm” during the confrontation. When approached by law enforcement, he reportedly resisted arrest.

Carlton Jr. and Spence Jr. faces a potential life sentence if convicted. McKnight’s role in the incident is still under review as authorities examine whether his actions contributed to the fatal altercation.

Ongoing Investigation

The Durham County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case, urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
