A North Carolina social media personality known for dishing out blunt relationship advice is now charged that has social media talking.
28-year-old Tremell Rashaud McKinney — better known online as “Mell,” a TikToker with over 500,000 followers — has been charged with assault on a female and domestic violence following allegations involving his own wife.

Authorities say McKinney allegedly grabbed his wife by the arm, shoved her down a hallway into a door, then slammed her on the couch and put his hands around her neck and choked her.
Warrants for McKinney were issued on February 18. He was later arrested on March 18, 2026, and given a $1,000 secured bond — which he posted the very next day.
As part of his release conditions, McKinney is ordered not to possess any weapons, avoid alcohol and illegal substances, and comply with monitoring under the CJIN program.
McKinney’s wife, who goes by “nolonnicole” on Instagram, took to social media and shared videos she claims show the alleged abuse.
In one clip, a man believed to be McKinney appears to pick her up and slam her onto a couch while choking her.

She also posted photos showing visible bruising on her arms.
The charges were filed in Cumberland County, though McKinney was arrested in Greenville, North Carolina.
McKinney is scheduled to appear in court on May 5, 2026.
