Wilson Woman Charged With Accessory After The Fact of First-Degree Murder
The sister of a double-murder suspect has been charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder in the deaths of Natasha Latrice Sutton and her son Avantae Pender, who were shot and killed on Washington Street in Wilson, North Carolina, Monday afternoon.
According to warrants obtained by The North Carolina Beat, 36-year-old Tiffany Monique Chestnut of Lipscomb Road was arrested Tuesday in connection to the case. Police say Tiffany picked up a “piece of broken handgun” used in the murder and gave it to the suspect before he fled the crime scene.
Around 2 p.m. Monday, officers with the Wilson Police Department responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Washington Street. When they arrived, they found 44-year-old Natasha Sutton and her 21-year-old son Avantae dead at the scene.

Another woman, 37-year-old Tiffany Fogg of Wilson, was also injured in the shooting but is expected to recover.

Police say the shooter is 39-year-old Donta Maurice Chestnut—Tiffany’s brother. He is currently charged with:

Donta Chestnut remains in jail with no bond.
Tiffany Chestnut is currently being held on a $30,000 bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Wilson County.
